No gear required. We have everything you need. There will be plenty of assistance on hand to be sure your child has the best first hockey experience and answer any questions you might have.
Bay Area Bears
Spring Hockey 2023
Oakland Ice is pleased to announce the Bay Area Bears spring program.The Bay Area Bears will consist of two practices a week (both weeknights) and each team will attend one tournament during Memorial Day Weekend. 10U, 12U, 14U teams will be registered to participate at Great Park Ice Memorial Shoot Out in Irvine, CA. Tournament location for 16U TBA.

Each team will receive 2 practices a week. Schedule as follows: March 27 – May 25
10U: Monday and Wednesday’s- 5:30p – 6:30p12U: Monday and Wednesday’s- 6:45p – 7:45p14U: Monday and Wednesday’s- 8:00p – 9:00p16U: Tuesday and Thursday’s- 7:30p – 8:30pParticipants must register for evaluations starting March 20, once evaluated, team registrations will be required:Evaluation Fee: $40.00 (evaluations March 20 – March 24) register following this link: Level - DaySmart RecreationTeam Fee: $750.00 Due after Evaluation: (Includes the following)

Deadline to register for evaluation spot is Monday, March 6th. Players must register for their 2023-24 USA Hockey birth years.Contact Brad Martin with any questions.

Little Sharks Learn to Play is coming back to Oakland in April.Click for more info.The Learn to Play program is tailored for children aged 5-9 years old who are new to hockey. The program encompasses six weekly practice sessions and provides head-to-toe gear.
Friday Skill Sessions are available throughout the month of March.Open to all 10U through 16U tier and travel players.
Spots are limited.
